I assumed a key role in the development and installation of TikTok’s Code Walkthrough exhibit, part of the TikTok Transparency Center initiative aimed at promoting transparency, data protection, and user privacy on a global scale. This innovative, interactive project was designed to demystify TikTok’s source code, making it accessible and educational for diverse audiences.

As the lead developer for the Code Walkthrough exhibit, I managed every aspect of its creation, from backend to frontend. I integrated a robust Content Management System (CMS) and developed an adaptive Lottie player to support 13 languages, including non-Roman characters and right-to-left scripts. This ensured accessibility and inclusivity for audiences across regions such as South Asia, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and North America. The exhibit, first launched in Los Angeles in October 2022, has since been installed in Singapore, Dublin, and Washington, D.C., establishing a global presence as a cornerstone of TikTok’s transparency efforts.
